I thought it might be fun to look back over the last 6 months. We've come a long way since December 20th of last year! Click on the video to see some pictures. There's music, too, so make sure your speakers are on!

We've put in a call to the USA Swim Team that they might have a walk-on member for the Summer Olympics.
Since Presley didn't enjoy her first experience in a pool, we decided that -as good parents- the only appropriate thing to do was to throw her back in the water.

Well, we've broken down the barriers and are on our way to real food! Presley has been drooling over food of any kind for some time now so we decided to take the next step. Some of you might not consider baby rice cereal mixed with formula in the real food category, but it's still a nice start.
She did really well. She tolerated the spoon, was interested in the new meal, No choking (that's always a plus)...
I think she found that she could get more food by sucking it off of her fingers. So she tried that for a while...
And this is what she looks like when she becomes frustrated with the whole process and is ready to go back to bottles...
Next week...Happy Meals!

This weekend, Presley used a sippy cup for the very first time and also got in a pool for the first time as well. The sippy cup went great. She usually tries to put everything that she comes into contact with in her mouth, so this was no surprise. Her first pool experience wasn't the greatest, though. She has always loved being in the bath water and playing in there. Now I'm thinking the nice 90 degree water temperature in the bathtub has a lot to do with that. This water was definitely a little more chilly and apparently we won't be signing up for the Polar Bear club anytime soon.
Sippy Cup...Holding it all by herself!

Presley's first pool experience. Just her and the girls, hanging out by the palm trees...
A few moments after this picture, she made it clear that it was too cold for her.

1. "Beware of Dog" actually means something.

10. When someone comes to burgle your house, is this really going to scare them off?

Probably not. :)
Get a Big Dog.
