4 Month Doctor Visit

Today we went for Presley's Four Month Doctor Visit. She weighs 15lbs 2 and 1/2ozs, and she is 25 and 3/4 inches long. That makes her in the 90th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for her height. Straight A's. At the age of 4 months. What can I say? As parents, we couldn't be more proud. I plan on submitting those grades to all of the top ranked private schools in Dallas. I don't think they could ask for much more than that.

Afterward, she went for some therapeutic distraction with some of her favorite child life specialists. These are a couple of my co-workers from Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. It's a fantastic place and where I used to work up until about month or so ago. Even though I love being at home with Presley, I can't help but miss it.

All in all, she's taking it pretty well. : )

Olney Trip

This weekend Presley went on a trip to see her Great-grandparent's and her Great-Great-grandparent's old houses in Olney, Texas for the first time. It was really interesting. The houses are 100 years old and still have things in them. (Most things aren't in the best condition, but they're still there.) We traveled in the car most of the day and Presley was great. She seems to always do really good in her carseat. She usually just looks around or sleeps. Pretty much like the rest of us...
She had her first up close and personal encounter with a horse. She saw a scorpion, a huge lizard, and a tick - all for the first time as well! : ) They don't have spaces in her baby book for entries like that. We have to just squeeze them in.


And now she has a little bitty tan - with Onesie tan lines, of course.

Visitors!

Presley and I were able to visit with one of my friends, Jenni, and her kids. They came down from Alabama this past week and we got to spend a little bit of time with them. These are just the best kids. So sweet and polite, and adorable too!

It was nice to see Presley's play area and some of the toys in her room get way more use than normal! : )

Today was Presley's Big 4 Month Birthday!

Presley has started to enjoy her exersaucer. Since she can sit up and look around now, the toys have become much more interesting.

Whenever she's playing, her "protector" is never very far away...

Presley's Baptism

This past weekend we celebrated Presley's baptism at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. She was really good during the ceremony. She slept through most of it, but woke up briefly when the water was poured over her head. They don't allow pictures during the actual ceremony so these are just a few from before and after.

These are a few pictures to show off Presley's baptism dress. It was a little long, but she didn't seem to mind. And, I know this is supposed to be a place to brag about her, but I want to take a moment and pat myself on the back. I actually made her dress, slip, and bonnet and I think they all turned out pretty good. : ) The last picture is one of my favorites.
