Gaylord Texan ICE exhibit!

We went to the Gaylord ICE exhibit in December. We've been a few times and the place is just amazing.

It is, of course, freezing in there - they keep it at 9'. So you have to wear big parkas.
I think Presley looks a little bit like Boo from Monsters, Inc. How cute is that?

They also have the hotel decorated and really pretty on the inside, so we tried to take some cute Christmas pictures, but -understandably- the place was a bit distracting and she had a hard time focusing on my camera.

Inside the Ice exhibit.
They wouldn't let Presley go down the slide with one of us, but she didn't weigh enough to keep herself going so the attendant wound up scooting down the slide behind her to give her a push every once in a while. : )
This year it was a "Grinch" theme. It's hard to believe it's all ice.

This was a little train outside of the Ice area that she loved playing on.

Lifesize Gingerbread House. YUM!

Merry Christmas 2009!

This is the craziness that is our car on the way to Christmas! Add two 90 lb dogs in with a toddler and a full car and it can get a bit wild. Actually, it wasn't bad until Riley decided that she needed to climb over the seat. If you can't tell, the seats are full so there's no where to go but into Presley's lap. And sweet Dakota would just watch out the front window while resting his head on the top of Presley's head. Needless to say, Presley doesn't get much of a nap while traveling with her puppies.
Looking at all the presents under the tree. If she's thinking that most of them are for her, she's right!

Getting ready to tear into them!

This stroller was one of her favorite gifts. Most of her dolls and stuffed animals have had a ride by now. Her new baby doll, Natalie, probably gets the most use out of it.

More gifts!!

And still more!
When you have a birthday and Christmas right near eachother, you get pretty good at opening gifts. I don't think any of us had to help very much -even with the best wrapped presents.
She was loving every minute of it!

TWO Years Old!

December 20, 2009: Presley's Birthday!

On Presley's actual birthday we had a day packed with fun.
It started out with more presents...
Relaxing in her new chair. : )

One of her favorite activities is still feeding these ducks, so we braved the super cold air to make sure they got breakfast.

Then we visited 4 parks... How fun is that?

And went to see the holiday lights at Frisco Safety Town. It's at the fire station so part of the big excitement was seeing the HUGE fire trucks. She loves them.

One of her presents was bathtime crayons and she had a blast playing with them!

All in all, not a bad day.
: )

Presley's 2nd Birthday... Snow Party!

We had a great time at Presley's Snow Birthday Party! We made snow, created snowmen, and played in the "snow".

The snow was a mix where you add water and it expands to 100x it's original size. Presley wasn't the biggest fan the first time we tried it, but after getting over the strange feeling on her hands, she loved it.
We also played with the skating penguins. This was just a big roasting pan filled with ice, but the kids loved having the penguins slide down it and feeling how cold it was!

Then it came time for the birthday cake. ..
She blew out the candles...
And then wanted nothing to do with the crazy looking snowman on her plate. : ) She did wind up eating some of it the next day, but during the party she was having none of it!
But I think the biggest hit was the "snow" box full of shredded paper. :) The kids seemed to have a blast trying to find things in there, and basically just throwing the "snow" all over the house.

Table for Four, please...

As some of you may or may not know, we will be graduating from a family of three to a family of four! We just found out what we are having and it looks like we will continue to THINK PINK!
We are expecting Baby Girl #2 in late April!
This is a close up picture of her foot. : ) I know these things are hard to see and this was one of the ones that took the least explaining.

SNOW!

It started to snow early this morning. There were HUGE snowflakes coming down.

Who knows when this will happen again? I had to stick her out in the middle of it for a least a minute!
They're Everywhere!

And, of course, we can't leave the dogs out of all the fun.
Someone asked me today if I left the dogs outside all day. Umm....yeah. They look miserable don't they?
