Happy Leap Day!

It's only her first year and already she gets an extra day! My vote was to sleep all day since it's really just extra time, but Presley did not agree.

Two-sday!

Well, Tuesday was Presley's Two-Month checkup at the doctor's office. They took a bunch of new measurements. Considering that she was in the lower 50th percentile on most of these (and closer to the 10th percentile for some) at her 2 week checkup, we're pretty excited about what we measured yesterday.

Weight: 11lbs and 13.5 ounces (75th percentile)

Height: 23 1/4 inches (80th percentile)

You tell her you want her to grow- she grows! It's just that easy. I expect her to conquer rolling over, crawling, and walking sometime next week.

This picture was taken at home before we went to the doctor's office. Just as happy as can be. No clue as to where the day might be headed...

This is at the doc's office. She is practicing her tummy time and seriously considering eating some of that paper.

This is right before they gave her the shots. Although the doctor's office does not have a Child Life specialist, Presley is lucky enough to have an excellent one on her staff and with her at all times. We had toys and music for distraction. (Where's the rainstick when you need it?!) The good thing about the visit was that the nurse was super fast and by the time Presley realized she was getting shots, they were almost done. She got two in one leg and three in the other.

This is after the shots and I'm pretty sure she's saying "Let's go home now. I don't like this place anymore".

Honestly, it wasn't that bad. She now has two little pink camo band-aids - one on each leg. She hasn't been really fussy or anything either. We gave her extra TLC last night and of course will spoil her all day today, too.

Today is Presley's 2 Month Birthday!

So Big, So Little!

Presley is growing so fast! We weighed her last Friday and she is up to 10lbs, 1oz. She is 22 1/2 inches long.

And then there are pictures like this where you can see that she is still so tiny! My thumb almost blocks out her entire hand.

And of course (some of you will understand this better than others) she will always have some big shoes to fill!

Grandparents Visit!

This past weekend, Presley had a visit from both sets of her grandparents and her Aunt Kim. With 10 extra arms she was quite content to be held almost continously!

Playing

Presley loves playing on the floor and looking at all of her fun toys! She has started to grab them and "play" with them now, too.

She has this cute little sideways smile that she does where one side of her mouth curves up and her eye closes. This picture kind of shows it as she's opening her eye back up again.

Milestones!

Well, We've reached some milestones in the last week or two. We've run out of newborn diapers and she is wearing the next size up - Size One! And we've had to retire a couple of our newborn outfits. She is still able to fit in some of them, but there are definitely a few that have become a bit too tight. And last, but not least...We've finally captured some of her smiles on camera!
