Easter Sunday!

We did so much on Easter Sunday and took pictures of everything, it's just easier to describe our day through them.

This is Presley trying on her beautiful Easter dress and bonnet. She was loving it!

Looking out the window before we left for church. So sweet.

Opening up some of her many Easter surprises! Spoiled? Absolutely not.

As always, the packaging received almost as much attention as the gifts! :)
We introduced Presley to the piano on Easter and I think she must be bound to be a concert pianist! She actually played a few notes at a time instead of just banging the keys. She definitely looks like she knows what she's doing!
Then we had an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Martha's house. Scratch that. MASSIVE Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Martha's house. I think we estimated there were probably over 600 eggs out there. Not all for Presley, but she had her fair share. (And she stole some from other people, too)

When there's this many eggs, sometimes you have to double-fist it.
"I found a good one! I found a good one!!"
Whew! Taking a break from the activities ---after finding all of her eggs, of course!

And then when we got home, there was another basket!

"Look at all the cool stuff I keep getting!"

Sweet Sixteen

We have to take a break from the Easter pictures (we still haven't reached Easter Sunday yet!) and celebrate Presley's 16 month birthday!

And, really, on your sixteenth birthday, what do you want your picture taken with? your car!

We will of course buy her one of these in a few years, but until then it's all Fisher Price. :)

She was also fascinated with her sunglasses today, so we'll throw in a couple of those pics, too.
She put these on all by herself...Can you tell? : ) She was very proud.

Now, unintentionally we have begun to create our own Hollywood Walk of Fame. Presley has stamped our front porch with her handprint, thank you very much.
So you think you're Brad Pitt? ...That don't impress me much.
I've got a blue handprint and purple shades.

And a picture of her with the 16month sign. So when it takes me a year to print off these pictures, I can still know how old she was. :)

Queen of her Castle

Don't let anyone tell me that this granddaughter isn't spoiled! : )
There are some things that just won't fit in your Easter basket. Like, for instance, a huge wooden castle built by her Grandpa with help from her Grandma and Uncle Matt.
Wow!

This thing has vaulted ceilings, bay windows, a second story, a lookout perch with a telescope, a rock climbing wall, swings, a glider, sandbox, picnic table, super fun bumpy slide, climbing bars... The list goes on and on!

And Presley enjoyed exploring every bit of it!

A picture of the Queen and the castle builder. Thanks Grandpa!

The slide was probably her favorite, although she did pretty well on the rock climbing wall, too! I was impressed! I am sure she will learn lots of things that she can apply to climbing furniture and cabinets.... : )

But the slide was the favorite. She would climb up it and then slide down. The bumps on the slide are a fun feature, too.
Sure, it's out of focus, but when you're going SO FAST you don't have time to stop and smile for the camera!
Sliding head over heels in her Easter dress! I wish you could see her face...
Group shot with Presley, her castle, and Grandpa & Grandma.
Thanks for the Super Awesome Castle!!!

Easter Hunt!

Presley got some fabulous goodies for Easter. This is just one of her many baskets - this one's from Aunt Kim! Wow!

She loved all of it, but her favorite was the crazy egg that hops around when you wind it up. That one was fascinating (and a little scary)!

Going on an egg hunt in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard. She's strutting around like she knows what she's doing. :)

She loved finding all of the eggs! We should have egg hunts all the time!

Taking a break from all the hunting and playing on the toys for a while! This is her blowing kisses to her adoring fans.

Bluebonnets!

What's a few misdemeanors on your record if you get some cute pictures of your child in the process? No big deal, right? We found a huge field of bluebonnets that was perfect for pictures. So we hopped the fence and got to trespassing!

This was an amazing field of bluebonnets! There were a ton!

Presley was more fascinated with the bluebonnets than with helping me get a great picture. So quite a few of our pictures are of her looking at the ground or gazing off in the distance.

Bye-bye, bluebonnets!

Easter Part One

Since we can't fit everything about Easter into one post, we are going to break this into a mini-series and try to post a little bit each day!

Trying on her Easter Hat!

Our first part of Easter was a small egg hunt at home. We hid the eggs in the backyard. And by "hiding" I mean - "we laid them out in plain view on the ground". We're not going to get too tricky just yet!

Presley caught on quickly to the game. The eggs are empty, but each time she found one she celebrated. We (Presley included) would have to stop and clap until the next one caught her eye and she went running.

Of course, Dakota was not far behind.

Checking out her loot.

This is Presley after the hunt wondering where all the eggs have gone.

No, seriously guys, Where are all the eggs!
