Dallas Zoo

A few weeks back, we made a trip to the Dallas Zoo. Presley loves looking at the animals and we were searching for the Rhino and the Giraffes in particular.

Dancing on our way to the next exhibit. Sometimes the rhythm just gets ya...

She could stand and watch these guys all day. Her big observation, though, is usually about them being "a little stinky".

SuperCool!

This is what we call "SUPERCOOL" in our house. And I don't think any of you could argue with that. : )

First Night in Presley's Big Girl Room!

We moved Presley into the room next door from where she has been for the last two years. We painted (I say "we", but I'm not doing much of anything at 34 weeks pregnant) the room pink and moved her things. I'll have to post some more pictures when we have it completed, but I did want to note the momentous occasion. : ) She seems to be doing fine. Very excited about her new pink room!

Ft. Worth Children's Museum

We were supposed to be going to the zoo, but since it was POURING down rain, we took a visit to the (indoor) Ft. Worth Children's Museum.

One of Presley's favorite things was the ambulance that you could "drive". I feel certain she could have sat there for most of the day.

The other exciting part was getting to go grocery shopping.

Picking out all the food...
And then checking it out and paying for it , too!
We were wandering around the museum and walked into a little area where they were about to start a 3D movie. They said it was only 7 minutes long so we thought we'd give it a shot. Little did we know that it was one of those movies where your seat moves backwards and side to side to get the feeling of really being in the movie. They spray you with cold air every once in a while... Presley really wasn't too happy about all of that. And when they sprayed us with a mist of cold water she had finally had it. I think we lasted about a minute and a half. That ought to keep her away from t.v. and movies for a while. : )

Snow Day, Part TWO!

This was our second round of snow. We got somewhere around 12 inches. Presley loved making balls out of the show and watching them fall apart as they hit the ground.

This was our street. You couldn't really make out the road for most of the morning and the driveways and sidewalks were impossible to see. A little different for the middle of February, but it was really pretty.
That is one cute baby next to one fantastic snowman. These things aren't as easy as they look to build. Especially for people who only get the chance once every ten years.
Trying to find the plants...
And of course the dogs had a blast. When I first went out in the morning, Riley was snowplowing a path with her nose - and loving it.
