Is it a Table Skirt or a Magical Playhouse?

This is your typical cheap table skirt until you hang it in the entryway for your 17 month old to play with. She doesn't know that it's "just" a table skirt. She has had so much fun with these things. You can walk back and forth in between all the strings or lean over it or hide behind it or tear it down or read books and play games in the magical playhouse....the possibilities are endless!

It may seem small, but there is actually room for two adults, a toddler, and two 90lb dogs ---all at one time. There are not many other playhouses on the market these days that can give you that kind of space - and offer it all for under $5.

Busting through the curtain. (Dakota is there to greet her!)

Feeding the Ducks!

There are several ponds near our house so we finally decided to venture out and feed the ducks at one of them. This one has a ton of ducks, turtles, and little fish. Presley had a lot of fun watching all of the crazy animals try to get the bread. She wasn't too crazy about throwing it out to them, but she did enjoy the show.
Turtles! (and about a hundred little fish -if you can see them)

Even a little family of ducks!

17 Months!

We got a couple of good shots for her 17 month birthday. Maybe she's finally getting the hang of this?? :)

Dallas World Aquarium

Ever been to the Dallas World Aquarium? It's kind of a cross between an indoor rainforest and a mini-Sea World. We took Presley to visit all the animals there and she loved it!

It is set up to be very natural looking and you could reach out and touch most of the animals. The birds fly around freely up above and the animals just walk around in their little habitats.

There are still plenty of aquariums with fish - Presley really enjoyed seeing all of those. It was much better than our Windows Fish Screensaver and she could stare at that thing forever!

Sitting by the shark tank, pointing to a big one.

This "catfish" was huge! The head was over a foot wide and the body is at least 4 or 5 feet long.

This was the tank with the biggest fish. And you can walk right up to the glass to get face to face with these things. Most of the animals in here are bigger than Presley. She didn't seem to mind.

Jellyfish!

Spying on the stingrays.
Presley loved watching all the animals - big, small, whatever - she was fascinated!

This is one of the birds that fly around in the big enclosure.
Take another good look at that bird. He might be the culprit that helped me to earn my free T-shirt about two minutes into our visit (see below).

Yep. You get a free T-shirt. Totally worth it.

Bluebonnets - Take Two!

Well, I heard of a magnificent field of bluebonnets to go to, so we had to go for round two with the Texas Bluebonnets.

This field was huge! Bluebonnets as far as you could see.

Tiptoe-ing through the bluebonnets, trying not to smush any of them.

Presley was pretty cooperative considering she had already gone through this once.

Texas A&M!

We made a quick trip down to Texas A&M (Whoop and Gig'Em!) a couple of weeks ago. It was pouring down rain for pretty much the entire time that we were there, so we didn't get too many pictures.

This is what it looked like for the most part... : )

We did manage to grab a cute shot of little Miss Presley.
