Add another candle to the cake...This girl is gettin' old! Presley is 8 months today!
And nothing under 2 feet is safe anymore!
She did pause long enough to take a quick formal shot.

Well, right after taking her birthday pics, I walked to the other side of the room for say-I don't know-30 seconds. When I came back, she had drooled so much on the sign that the colors ran and it looked like she had had a fight with a marker. Now, I know it's really not that bad and all you moms with older kids have your own horror stories to tell. But keep in mind this happened when I turned my back for literally -maybe- 30 seconds. And there wasn't an actual marker involved!! This is just from a combination of paper and drool.
So these were my next set of photos... (And these were after I had cleaned her up.)

You can kind of see the leftover blue bottom lip in this last picture.

Well, she's still perfecting her swagger, but she seems to have the hang of it! This video is mostly from the back end because she seems to get a bit of stage-fright around the video camera. You can see the change at the end once she finds out I'm taping. : )
She loves the normal camera...a little bit waryof the video. (aren't we all?)
The video is about 30 seconds and it has music with it, as well.

Well, even though I still don't have a good video of her crawling, I am able to get plenty of pictures of where she winds up these days. All you have to do is look away for a minute and she is off and moving. Here are some of her favorite places...

I've tried to barricade most of these off, but she does seem to find her way back. And now I have to go because who knows where she's crawled to while I'm off posting on her blog!

Well, Presley started crawling last Friday. She was rather proud of herself when she figured out that she could move in a straight line to get whatever she needed! I tried to video it, but it didn't really come out that good. I'll try again and post that soon. But for now, she is crawling wherever she wants to go. It makes for a little bit more interesting day. Right now, I've barricaded the center of the living room with furniture and pillows so that she can have a big place to move around. I'm sure she'll be pulling herself up and over those "barricades" pretty soon!
